Lawyers working for the firm have a longstanding practice of contract and liability law, personal injury compensation and mass litigation.
Alexandra Cohen-Jonathan is an expert in insurance and liability litigation with over 25 years of experience. Her career has led her to work on numerous sensitive and large-scale cases.
After 20 years at Hascoët & Associés, and 7 years in the Litigation, Arbitration and Criminal Law department of August Debouzy, she created Tamaris Avocats in 2021 with her team of dynamic associates fully experts in insurance law. The team has been working together for several years, and is dedicated to clients’ needs in order to offer dedicated support tailored to their specificity.
Alexandra Cohen-Jonathan is constantly recommended by her clients and recognized by her peers for her expertise in various rankings.
In 2023, Sophie Cochery joined the firm as Partner. Sophie has developed a long-standing practice in insurance law with a focus on Financial Lines insurance matters. She acted as monitoring counsel in various complex cross-border matters involving financial institutions, banks and investment funds. She also acts for companies and insurers of the aviation sector and is a recognized specialist in air transport and aviation-related insurance and product liability issues. She joined from DLA Piper where she practiced 3 years as Counsel in the Insurance and Aviation team in Paris. She has a prior experience of 15 years at HMN & Partners.
As a member of AMRAE and AIDA, the firm remains at the heart of insurers’ debate with respect to new risks and new global issues.

Alexandra Cohen-Jonathan was admitted to the Paris Bar in 1994. She graduated from the University of Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne (DEA in business and tax law).
Alexandra Cohen-Jonathan assists clients with respect to all issues of the insurance sector for French and foreign clients. Her career has led her to work on numerous sensitive and high-profile media cases.
Her expertise is widely recognized in insurance law, industrial risks and product liability.
She is a member of the AMRAE and AIDA associations.
Sophie COCHERY | Partner
Sophie Cochery assists her clients in all aspects of insurance and liability law and represents them in litigation before the criminal, civil, commercial and arbitration courts, in particular thanks to her 4 years’ experience at a leading arbitration institution (the International Chamber of Commerce, ICC) acquired at the start of her career.
Sophie Cochery has represented various clients in the aeronautics industry (aircraft manufacturers, suppliers, MROs, and their insurers), and has been involved in particular in the major fatal air accidents which have occurred in France over the last 30 years.
She graduated in 1997 from the University Paris IX Dauphine (Master in Management Sciences and International Business Law) and in 2000 in the University Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne (Master in Foreign Trade Law). She also holds an LL.M. from Exeter University (United Kingdom).
She was admitted to the Paris bar in 2005.
Victoire BOULANGER | Senior Associate
Victoire Boulanger advises French and foreign clients in litigation and civil procedures on issues relating to insurance and commercial law. She advises clients in various areas such as industrial risks, serial claims and personal injury.
She graduated from the Insurance Institute of Paris of the University Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne (University Diploma and Master II in Insurance Law, 2014), where she completed a two-year work-study program at Marsh France, first in the Legal & Compliance Department and then in the Civil Liability Department as a claims advisor. She also holds an LL.M. from King’s College London (International Business Law, 2015) and participates in the emergency criminal defense of the Paris Bar.
Admitted to the Paris Bar in 2016, she joined August Debouzy in 2018 after a first experience in an international business law firm. She joined Tamaris Avocats in 2021 and participated in the creation of the firm.

Loïc ROUZÉE | Senior Associate
Loïc Rouzée assists and represents French and foreign clients in litigation and pre-litigation cases, in particular on insurance and commercial law issues. He intervenes in various areas such as industrial risks, defective products and personal injury.
He graduated from the Master 2 Insurance Law of the University Panthéon-Assas (2016).
Admitted to the Paris Bar in 2019, he joined Alexandra Cohen-Jonathan’s team at August Debouzy the same year, after having accomplished several internships in courts and in the legal departments of French bancassurers.
Loïc Rouzée joined Tamaris Avocats in 2021 and participated in the creation of the firm.

She graduated from the Master 2 Food safety and Health security law at Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne University, in partnership with AgroParisTech (2017) and has completed several internships in law firms and in Courts.
Admitted to the Paris Bar in 2019, she has worked at Hascoët & Associés and then Raffin & Associés, law firms specialized in insurance law and civil liability.
She has joined Tamaris Avocats in 2024.
